Frequently Asked Questions
How soon do you ship?
Almost all items ship within 3 business days from Oceano, California. All orders ship with the US Postal Service First Class Mail. Larger, heavier orders will get a courtesy upgrade to either USPS Priority Mail, FedEx, or UPS delivery.
How much does shipping cost?
Flat rate to ship is $7.00 (USD) regardless of order size.
Do you offer free shipping?
Not at this time.
What about returns and exchanges?
We accept returns if you contact us within 10 days of delivery and ship back within 20 days of delivery.
Conditions of return:
Buyers are responsible for return shipping costs. If the item is not returned in its original condition, the buyer is responsible for any loss in value. If it arrives damaged to the buyer, a picture to us when you contact us will help avoid that additional loss of value.
What happens if my item does not arrive?
If tracking does not show the item is successfully delivered to you we will refund or replace - your choice. However, if tracking shows delivery, a refund or replacement will not be available.
Please make sure that you are shipping to an address where delivery will be secure. We are not responsible if your neighbors snag your rocks. If it shows delivered and you don't see it, asking neighbors if it ended up with them is always a good move.
If the order value is high, we will add signature/insurance tracking at no cost to you.
There was a discrepancy with my order - what should I do?
Any issue with your order must be brought to our attention within 10 days of delivery so it can be promptly investigated and rectified. If an issue is not reported within 10 days, we cannot assist further.
Do you use plastic in your shipping?
We made a decision to not use plastic in our shipping where it can be avoided. We ship in boxes, using paper tape, and wrapping with paper tissue - all of which is recyclable. This costs a little more, but we're avoiding a greater cost to our environment.
Do you offer a gift wrapping and packaging option?
We do not offer official gift wrapping, but each order is wrapped nicely in colored tissue in a cardboard box. We can include a gift receipt at your request and a fancy organza bag, even a note to the recipient - at no cost to you- just let us know.
Do you offer sales?
No, the price is set based on the cost for the raw material and shipping and handling to us. Costs may go up but they will not go down.
Warnings and disclaimers
Some products may contain small parts not suitable for children under 3 years of age.
Rocks are small. If your child puts small things into her/his mouth, then s/he may not be ready for these. Please ensure your child is mature enough to not put these in any orifices. Friends don't let friends choke on stones.
If the crystal is not put in a secure place, it can fall and shatter into sharp pieces that could cut someone. Please handle these carefully and make sure they will not fall onto a hard surface.

It's not just about the pretty rocks. I hope to ignite a love for the natural world in children. A shiny stone instinctually lights us up.
The next step is to get outside, immersed in nature, to find your own. You can tumble them and give them as gifts to light that passion in others.
When you're out in nature, you can hear the birds and wind, feel the sun or mist, avoid the poison oak or ivy and stinging creatures, see the flowers and birds. Maybe you'll take the next step and start trying to identify the stones, creatures, and plants you see. Maybe you'll start photographing and create life lists. Maybe you'll join clubs and start contributing to citizen science projects.
There is so much to engage with outside, even in big cities. It helps your brain when you're present in the moment, experiencing the world around you. When you find a special stone or recognize a plant, you get this great feeling of being attuned to the natural world.
