A hidden gem on California's central coast, the Nipomo Native Garden is perfect for an adventure with your kids. It is free, quiet, and full of fun toys and opportunities for exploration (in 12 acres).
The kids loved the tire swing and spent a couple of hours just playing. We had snacks then headed home for lunch. Next time I hope they'll be up for a hike or two in the oak woodlands trails.
 
We left early because Joy decided she wanted to go back into my belly and was very offended that I told her she was too big.
 
"No! I tiny! Your belly big!" - is not what you want to hear when you're carrying your extra pandemic weight. She's almost a threenager, and certainly acting like it.Â
