It seems earlier than normal for the creek to be dry at Johnson Ranch. Rocko took a look at it and immediately offered a silver lining: "this is perfect for rockhounding!" He's the most awesome kid ever.
The kids did manage to find a small pool to check out and saw a family of quail come to drink.
The wildflowers are pretty much done but we did see some clay Mariposa lilies.
