We returned to Johnson Ranch Trail in San Luis Obispo county to check out the wildflowers and the creek level.

We use this fantastic book to figure out the flowers we're seeing: Wildflowers of San Luis Obispo, California by David J. Kiel. (We might get a small commission, at no cost to you, if you purchase from this link.) You can also look it up for free on Calflora's What Grows Here?
Sightings included:
Johnny Jump-ups

Vetch

Gold fields, owl's clover

Chick lupine with a couple of goobers

California poppies and popcorn flowers

Phacelia

Red maids, buttercups, bird's foot trefoil, yarrow, blue eyed grass, morning glory, Chinese houses, blue dicks, sky lupine, bicolor lupine, cream cups, hummingbird sage, lotus.
The creek is still flowing!

Also this happy doggo joined Joy and her bunny-eared brother on the trail we love. Joy has officially grown out of the hiking pouch. Time to bring the backpack for when she gets tired!
