Rocko tumbled these semiprecious stones in his National Geographic tumbler and is now selling them to you. The price is for one stone, about 0.5"-1" for medium or 1"-2" in size on its longest axis. Each one is different.

If you are interested in tumbling your own stones, you can get details here.

Rocko decided to sell some of his tumbled stones that we purchased as rough from National Geographic. He plans to use the money for savings, for his and Joy's college funds, and for books from his school's book fair (we save money for this from recycling as well).

This is pretty much equivalent to a lemonade stand (we're "small batch, artisan, gemstones"); you can find these elsewhere for less money. When you buy from us, you're simply supporting our adventures.

Aventurine is a beautiful and unique mineral that has been prized for its beauty and healing properties for thousands of years. From ancient times to modern day, aventurine has been used in everything from jewelry and decor to holistic medicine and spiritual practices.

Aventurine has a rich and fascinating history. It was first discovered in ancient India, where it was prized for its glittering appearance and healing properties. It was used in a variety of cultural and religious practices, and was believed to bring luck, wealth, and prosperity to its wearer. In ancient Greece and Rome, it was used in jewelry and decorative items, and was also believed to have healing properties.

But aventurine isn't just valued for its historical uses – it's also a mineral with unique physical properties. It's a variety of quartz that contains small inclusions of other minerals, such as mica, which give it a distinctive shimmering effect known as aventurescence. Its structure makes it a good conductor of energy and a powerful stone for spiritual and emotional healing.

Now, for a joke about aventurine: Why did the aventurine gemstone go to the doctor? It was feeling a little green!

In all seriousness, aventurine is a fascinating and versatile mineral that has played an important role in human history. Its unique properties and applications make it a popular choice for everything from jewelry to spiritual practices to holistic healing. So if you're looking for a beautiful and powerful stone, consider aventurine – it's a gemstone that's truly one of a kind.
